It is not easy to manage in this environment. Who is lying to us and who is telling the truth.? How long have we been lied to? How do you navigate and be mentally healthy in this environment?

There are a lot of assumptions being made that may or may not be true. Are your assumptions correct? Are mine? The news is not helpful it is harmful by design yet we are using it as a guidepost which it is not. When I read this cartoon I thought of all the truths we aren’t told and how are we to cope with that reality.

These are wonderful suggestions about how to manage the ongoing stress of current events. I especially appreciate the idea that we can choose to make small adjustments in how we relate to the media on a daily basis and focus on the basics of caring for ourselves in healthy, holistic ways. thank you for the reminder that we don't have to make coping with this moment in time more complicated than it is!

I think that something that readers really appreciate (I speak from personal experience!) is transparency, being sincere in giving suggestions and sharing your experience. In short, being authentic with them. Well, especially for this, and for the practicality of the suggestions, I really appreciated this issue on how to manage your "information diet".

Honestly, a fundamental element of my steps to manage all the information is the selection of many newsletters and different reference media and a moment to relax during the week dedicated to exploring the various contents.

Hey Gail.... I can implement #6 and #7. The first 5 suggestions are off the table now that we see clearly the danger and intentions coming at us without regard to our values or safety. We have to get smarter about boundaries and bullies.

I have always enjoyed those New Yorker cartoons over the years- they always really have some insight into what people are thinking and experiencing!

Thanks, Michael. I have used this cartoon before in powerpoint presentations. But it REALLY seemed to fit now with the currant mood.
